- Rama Koti is a sacred Hindu tradition of offering the name of Lord Rama one crore times as an act of devotion, discipline, and remembrance. It has traditionally been practised by writing "Sri Rama" repeatedly in notebooks as a meditative offering.
- RamaKotiSeva carries this tradition forward as a shared digital seva. It makes the practice accessible to devotees anywhere in the world and turns an individual offering into a collective one.
The heart of Rama Koti is the remembrance and offering of Rama Nama. The medium has changed over time, from palm leaves to books to notebooks. This platform is another step in that journey.
It does not replace handwritten Rama Koti. It extends the spirit of the practice and, we hope, may also inspire people to begin the physical practice.
- Anyone who wishes to offer Rama Nama. Whether you have practised Rama Koti for years or are discovering it for the first time, you are welcome.
- No. RamaKotiSeva is free to use. There is no sign-up, no app to download, and no monetisation. It is built and maintained as an act of seva.
- Find an empty cell in the grid and offer Rama Nama. Your offering is added to the collective count, which updates in real time for everyone.
- Yes. Once a Rama Nama is offered, it becomes part of the collective seva and cannot be edited or overwritten from the site.
- The current goal is one crore Rama Namas: 1,00,00,000 offerings made collectively by devotees around the world.
- You can choose from the supported language and script options on the site, including Telugu, Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, and Bengali.
The first crore is a milestone, not the end. Once reached, it will remain as a completed collective offering, and the seva can continue toward the next crore.
Future plans may include offering the completed crore to a sacred temple and expanding the platform based on community feedback.
- RamaKotiSeva was built by a devotee as a personal passion project and act of seva. It is not affiliated with any organisation, temple, or commercial entity.
